First Friday

Today is the first friday of the month. This week was crazy and very very hectic. Had three deadlines today! Everything went well and am a bit relaxed now. Will try to chill off, rest today and get back to work from tomorrow.
Have a great weekend, everybody!
p.s. One movie I am looking forward to is “The Da Vinci Code“. It will be released on May 19 2006. The trailer is really cool. Have not read the book yet. It’s still on my To-Read list.

Firewall

Watched “Firewall” today. Had been wanting to watch it for some time. It stars Harrison Ford. He plays a bank expert who is forced to rob his own bank after his family is taken hostage.

Good Movie. Definitely worth watching. Keeps the suspense till the very end.
On a side note, it amazed me how the storyline is strikingly similar to the recent $44 million Securitas bank robbery in England. Coincidence, anyone?

Happy Valentine’s Day!!!

Hello World,
Happy Valentine’s Day!!!
As I write this entry, I remember a forward from one my friends.

“Marry someone with whom you could have conversations for hours on end, for that is the only thing you will long for in your old age, when the external appeal are long gone.”

Very true indeed.
So, go ahead and wish your Valentine today and let her/him know how special s/he is and how s/he makes your world go round, how s/he makes you smile that happy smile whenever you think about her/him.
And don’t forget to wish your parents, your brothers and sisters and your friends. Because at the end of the day, they are the persons who will always care for you, come whatever may…

How to find your cell phone’s IMEI number? Press *#06#

I knew this (i.e. how to find the IMEI number of a cellphone) a long time back but had forgotten the sequence. The IMEI is a unique number assigned to every GSM cell phone (i.e. a cell phone which uses a SIM card). To find the IMEI number of your cellphone, dial the sequence *#06# into the phone.
The IMEI is useful because it can be used to block your cellphone if it gets lost. So, if you are reading this and do not know the IMEI number for your cell phone, find it by dialling *#06# and write it down somewhere :).
I also found a page which analyzes IMEI numbers. I tried it out and the information was interesting.

Munich

Watched Munich about 2 weeks back. Wanted to but never got a chance to write about it in my blog. Well, better late than never 🙂

It’s a great movie by Spielberg. Definitely worth watching. The story is about a covert Israeli squad assigned to track down and kill the 11 Palestinians suspected to have planned the attack on the Israeli team at the 1972 Munich Olympics. The nice thing I like about the movie is that Spielberg has treated it with justice. He has not taken any sides.
The following excerpt sums from Rober Ebert’s review sums it up well:

Steven Spielberg’s “Munich” is an act of courage and conscience. The director of “Schindler’s List,” the founder of the Shoah Foundation, the most successful and visible Jew in the world of film, has placed himself between Israel and the Palestinians, looked at decades of terrorism and reprisal, and had one of his characters conclude, “There is no peace at the end of this.” Spielberg’s film has been called an attack on the Palestinians and he has been rebuked as “no friend of Israel.” By not taking sides, he has taken both sides.

One of the main stars in the movie is Eric Bana who starred in “The Hulk” and “Troy”.

Who is this?

I saw this photograph in a picture frame in a store. Obviously, they were selling the picture frame and the photograph just happened to be there. The girl in the photograph is most probably a model, actress or a celebrity of some sort. I wonder who she is.
